Stamp of the Day

Finding My Footing at the XVIIth Congress of the International Chamber of Commerce and the National Capital Sesquicentennial

Day 3 of my my #stampoftheday project brings us 1959’s 8-cent stamp honoring the XVIIth Congress of the International Chamber of Commerce. And a bonus of 4 different 1950 stamps honoring the National Capital Sesquicentennial with stamps of the White House, the Supreme Court building, the Capital, and the statue of Columbia on top of the Capital Dome. My dad didn’t have the first day covers for these but he did have—and carefully mounted—blocks of the stamps. Love to see others rummage through their collections or the ones they inherited. Perhaps tag posts with #stampoftheday ?
